A while back I had the pleasure of being asked to do a photo shoot with Benny Askinas. I wasn't quite sure what was in store, but Benny had a vision and I was so excited about the opportunity. These photos were taken for a photo class of his and as you can see, he's got skills. His work is always flawless and he has the amazing talent of capturing raw emotions. His work is absolutely incredible and I am such a big fan.
Please be sure to check out more of his work on his website:
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!! I am missing my Valentine today because he is 3,000 miles away...but not for long! Can't wait to see my Valentine (Matthew) in 15 days! I am such a lucky girl! Here are some silly pictures from our trip to Australia last summer (Australia post coming soon!). Enjoy and I hope you have an amazing day filled with lots of love!!
Since Valentine's day is tomorrow I thought it would be the perfect time to share with you one of my favorite wedding videos. No, I am not planning on getting married anytime soon, but I do have a little bit of an obsession with weddings. Who doesn't enjoy a good love story? What can I say...I just love LOVE. My friend showed this video to me last year and I was crying by the end. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! P.s. His vows at the end...unreal.
Have a lovely day!
XOXO

P.s.s. Please don't let the crazy music in the beginning scare you away! :)
[our street from the left window. cars were buried under the snow!]
[piles of snow in my neighborhood as I ventured to Beacon Hill to meet up with friends]
[in love with this picture, I love where I live]
[sinking into the snow!]
[had to walk in the streets because the sidewalks were covered in piles of snow]
[people playing & sledding in the Common! love it!!]
[wishing I was that little girl being pulled around in a sled instead of walking haha]
[yes, that is a car folks]
[The cute boutiques on Charles Street are even more beautiful with snow on the windows]
It was such a fun weekend & I absolutely loved the blizzard! Maybe it is just because I am a California girl so seeing Boston covered in a blanket of white just made me love this city even more. I kept going to my living room windows to peek out at the snow that was falling from every direction because I thought it was so beautiful. People were having snowball fights, building snowmen, and everything was shut down. There were no stores open, no restaurants open, the only action happening was people running through the streets and loving every minute of it. I found all of it so exciting! There were no cars on the road either so it was just complete emptiness... nothing but mountains of snow! I will never forget this weekend because it is one of the most beautiful things I have witnessed so far in Boston. Nemo, come back anytime :)
This weekend I spent a lot of time inside my apartment due to the blizzard that hit Boston (yes, the blizzard's name was Nemo). I needed some inspiration and I found some of these wonderful inspirational words and printed them out. Now, I have words of inspiration all around my room so that whether I'm cooped up from a storm or just running out the door to get to my class on time, I am always surrounded by encouraging messages to keep me going :) I hope these messages make you as happy as they make me.
So most of my friends are already 21 or are turning 21 really soon & for some reason I get super excited for them! I think that turning 21 is such an exciting thing & I cannot wait until my 21st birthday. April 21st (golden birthday!) please come faster! Naturally, I have been thinking about the perfect birthday dress to wear, and I know that I want it to be Stone Cold Fox. I have been obsessed with Stone Cold Fox (<--check out my previous SCF post) for quite a while now because all of their pieces are so girly, feminine, and sexy...what's not to love?! I think that I found the perfect dress...Stone Cold Fox's Onyx Gown in red! I love it. My favorite color is red & dresses that tie at the neck are always flattering in my eyes (I love me some halters). Not to mention, those two slits are just to die for. So all I need to do now is save up for this dream dress of mine... I have 71 days, wish me luck!
XOXO

P.s. There is a blizzard in Boston right now & the city is a winter wonderland :) I love it! Pictures coming soon!
